C’EST SI BON
Once, very recently, I took a trip to the South of France, my first time to France in fact. I went with one goal in mind- do nothing. Easier said than done. I did however find the best way to do nothing was to stay in one place. While looking at images of the region online I came across this room that looked like a Moroccan cave with vaulted chalk white walls and a modern style hammam. I tracked it down, booked a few days there and set off with a friend from the Mediterranean coast near Cassis to the narrow dirt roads and countryside near Uzes… to do nothing. Nothing meaning reading from the huge collection of fascinating art books, drinking bottles of rose, and watching the farmers work the fields beyond the pool of the converted monastery guest house Clos Du Lethe. Doing nothing can be good if you do it right. It can be so good.
